It sounds as though he accepted a lot of relationship-level closeness without wanting the same relationship you did. He may not have intended to mislead you, but the arrangement was still costing you too much. I hope the distance gives you room to want something different.

i feel for him honestly. you basically kept him on the hook because you liked the company while knowing deep down you werent gonna commit. stringing someone along for two years is pretty selfish if you ask me.

Honestly mate, just leave a note or a text and block them. Pack your things quietly and go stay with a friend for a few days to clear your head. Do not give them the satisfaction of a confrontation.
