### I saw him again and he pretended not to

It was at a local cafe earlier today. I was just ordering coffee and he walked in with some mates. We had that thing for maybe two months a long time ago. Back then he was always busy with work or whatever he said he was dealing with, so I ended up doing all the heavy lifting just to see him for an hour on a Tuesday. I kept telling myself it was fine because I liked him, even when I knew he was just keeping me around when he felt like it. Anyway, I made eye contact for a second and he just looked straight through me like I was not there at all. It was so weird. I know it was ages ago and we barely lasted, but it still felt like a punch in the gut. I am not even trying to get back with him or anything, I just thought he might acknowledge me. It is probably stupid of me to be bothered by it. I just hate that he got to move on and act like I was nobody while I still remember how much effort I put into trying to make him feel better about his stuff. Maybe I should have just walked past but I did not know what to do. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to put this somewhere.
