- Some of these replies are treating your hesitation as if it proves you never cared about her, and I don’t think your post says that. The important part is that when the relationship changed, you eventually examined what you were actually resisting instead of assuming either of you had to surrender. She also had the option to decide your answer took too long. Both can be true.
